This is kind of off topic from the stuff we usually talk about but then again a lot is. Some of you might not even know what I'm talking about, but just in case I decided to ask.
Have any of you bought milk in the past 2 months that spoiled quicker than it was supposed to? I did, more than once, and my fridge is working too. I buy from Hiland. It may have been only with the lowfat milk, I can't remember. Anyway, just wondering. It might just be me, or it could some evil conspiracy.

I have no clue what you're talking about, our milk is fine?

Maybe it's just Hiland Low-fat milk here in Oklahoma, I don't know.
By the way, did you hear that milk isn't really good for your bones after all. Lifting weights does more for building strong bones than drinking milk, if drinking milk does much for your bones at all past infancy. Interesting. But I'm waiting to see the proof.

Yes, but studies show that lifting weights not only builds muscle, but narcissism, whereas milk is advertised by a pair of strong teeth that beat Scottish people in tug of war.

Where I live the milk goes bad 3 days sooner in New York City than it does here. The label will always read something along the lines:
Expires March 15 except in NYC March 12.
Go figure.

...and thus concludes the poll of the most shocking thing I've heard since this forum began, with crippling results that show that 3 day difference expiration date in milk came out on top in a no contest, it was completely unanimous with all that were polled, which is me
source: me
...yeah, that wasnt a real poll, but if it was, it'd have the same result

Strange that you should ask! Recently I bought milk at the
convenience store (not my usual place but was tired &
wanting to get home). The first glass I poured of it (the date
was not an expired one or within the next day or two & my
fridge is so cold I only recently cut it down to keep it from
freezing my vegts.)It looked like powdered milk in the glass
& by that I mean it left a rim around the top of the glass
like it had been powdered milk that was not mixed well.
yech. AND, the milk in the container looked the same way!
It had a rim inside the jug where the milk line was...the
milk didn't taste odd or anything and I was a little hesitant
to drink it but I did...but after I drank that glass I poured
the rest of it out! I hated to do that but I didn't feel
comfortable with it like that and it made me wonder why
was it like that????? I have NEVER seen milk do that before
except with powdered milk! I figured the worry with drinking
it was not worth the risk! I still don't understand why it
looked like that atall! I won't be buying milk there anymore
& if it looks the least little bit odd from now on I will not be
buying that brand. I can't help but wonder if they were
trying to pass off 2% milk as really watered down milk with
powdered milk???????
