<B>I used to live in a very old house. It was 98 yrs. old at the time we moved into it and we lived there about 5 yrs. During the time we lived there I discovered that the man who originally owned the house while he didn't die in the house was still very much a part of the house. The first time I ever saw the house I felt like someone was looking back at me from the upstairs window when we first looked at it. Later when I would go in the basement to do laundry I would feel so uncomfortable because most of the time I felt like someone was behind me in the same room watching me! I would learn from the next door neighbor that the man who originally owned the house spent a lot of time in the basement working with machine work, presses etc. What is really odd is I learned what he looked like. I dreamed one night of this man in the house-and it had to be there because of the unique woodwork in the house and yet in my dream he was considerably thinner than when he died. But 2 things that were so eery is that he favored my husband quite a bit and the other was that he wore glasses and had unforgettable eyes (for lack of a better way to describe them!). I would later learn from the next door neighbor and former brother in law and the man's wife that the man in deed did favor my husband. My husband managed to get a picture of the man from the obituary from the paper and he wore glasses, had those unmistakeable eyes and looked just as he did in my dream with the exception of being a little heavier. There's lot more to tell about this house and this experience.

That really is weird! Is it possible that you had seen this person or his picture before? What did the obit say about him? That is strange. I often dream about people I have never met in real life, but I have never gone on to meet them. Or rather find out they were real. You suggested that you had other experiences in this house... Please share them. And welcome to the message board by the way. :)

<B>I can't tell you how strange it was to live there & feel like there was someone watching me on occassion (in the main body of the house I really didn't feel like that so much but when I was in the basement I did!). And when I dreamed about a man I did not know and the dream was of the man in that house then I knew it had to be him. (the dream was odd in that it really wasn't a dream but essentially a picture-like a snapshot! and with the woodwork in that house I knew it was that house...the picture in my mind was perfectly clear and I drew a sketch. I made very subtle inquiries to his next door neighbor (who still lived next door)and to his brother in law and eventually to his wife. The strange thing is his hair was longer in the dream and yet in the dream I saw him also at times with a mustache! I learned from the people I mentioned that he did at times where a mustache! You asked was it possible I had seen him before and didn't remembr or something? NO. I was new to the state period. I had never seen a picture of this man prior to seeing the obit in the paper. I can't tell you what it feel like to dream about someone you have never met and feel their presence and then confirm that person is the same one by seeing their obit. picture in the paper...I know people might scoff at such things but I swear it all happened just like I told you.

it's easy to believe that someone who lived a full and joyous life, left so much energy behind. You're picking up on the vibes when you are most receptive.

You are not haunted by this man all you feel are his memories quite possibly bound to the house. I would not worry about it a second because he cannot harm you in any way shape or form. Some poltergiest are concious others are not yours is probably unconsios or just the energy his memories give off.
